1. Return Policy Overview
Canco Fasteners operates as a B2B manufacturing company. Our return policy is designed to address quality issues, specification mismatches, and defective products while protecting both parties' interests.
2. Return Eligibility
Returns may be accepted under the following conditions:
- Defective Products: Products with manufacturing defects or quality issues
- Specification Mismatch: Products that do not meet agreed specifications
- Wrong Products: Products shipped that differ from the order
- Damaged in Transit: Products damaged during shipping (if properly insured and reported)
- Returns must be requested within 30 days of delivery (or as specified in your contract)
3. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are generally not eligible for return:
- Custom-manufactured products made to customer-specific specifications (unless defective)
- Products that have been used, installed, or modified
- Products damaged due to improper handling, storage, or installation
- Products returned without prior authorization
- Standard products returned after 30 days of delivery
- Products that cannot be resold due to contamination or damage
4. Return Authorization Process
Before returning any products, you must:
- Contact us to request a Return Authorization (RA) number
- Provide order number, invoice details, and reason for return
- Submit photos or documentation supporting the return request
- Wait for approval and receive the RA number
- Include the RA number on all return packages and documentation
Important: Returns without prior authorization will not be accepted.
5. Return Shipping
Return shipping arrangements:
- For defective or wrong products: We may arrange return shipping at our expense
- For other returns: Customer is responsible for return shipping costs
- Products must be returned in original packaging when possible
- We recommend using insured shipping for valuable returns
- Return address will be provided with the RA number
6. Return Inspection
Upon receipt of returned products:
- We will inspect returned products within 5-7 business days
- Inspection will verify condition, quantity, and reason for return
- If products are accepted, we will process refund or replacement
- If products are rejected, they will be returned to customer at customer's expense
- Inspection results will be communicated within 10 business days
7. Refund or Replacement
For approved returns, you may choose:
- Refund: Full or partial refund based on the issue and product condition
- Replacement: Replacement products shipped at no additional cost (for defective items)
- Credit: Store credit for future orders
- Refunds will be processed within 15-30 business days after approval
- Replacement products will be shipped according to standard shipping timelines
8. Restocking Fees
Restocking fees may apply in certain circumstances:
- Returns due to customer error (wrong order, change of mind)
- Standard products returned in good condition but not defective
- Restocking fee (typically 10-20%) will be deducted from refund amount
- No restocking fee for defective or wrong products
9. Quality Issues
For quality-related returns:
- We prioritize replacement or correction over returns
- Quality issues must be reported promptly (within warranty period)
- Products must be returned for inspection to determine root cause
- We will work to resolve quality issues to your satisfaction
- Repeated quality issues may result in contract review or termination
10. International Returns
For international customers:
- Return shipping costs are typically customer's responsibility
- Customs duties and taxes on returns are customer's responsibility
- Proper export/import documentation must be provided
- We will coordinate return logistics and documentation
- International returns may take longer to process
